Quite simply, Mr Missy is a tribute to my muse...Missy.It's that simple. It has nothing to do with gender and everything to do with love. The name reminds me that I represent not only myself but her as well.
The true story is that we were out with friends to see a friend play at a club and Missy (who has some allergies and a strict diet for health reasons ) ordered dinner which is usually segregated from other meals. Our dinners come and her plate is labelled Missy on a chopstick...mine came with the label Mr Missy. Of course our friends found this hilarious and teased me for a while. My initial reaction was very male " Don't call me that..." but I realized very quickly that I am proud to be Mr Missy. I have found that if you play music for something greater than yourself it makes everything better.
Missy is my muse. Songs float around her constantly and I just have to be aware and catch them as they fall to earth.I have found the joy of music again. Thank you Missy. I will try to represent us as best I can.
